iPhone 3G - July 11th New Zealand release details
Written on Jul 09, 2008 // Tech Savvy // 90 person viewedJust received an email from Apple about the iPhone 3G release details.
Have a look! It will be out on all 3 main streets of the 3 main cities of New Zealand at 1 minute past midnight.
The time that All Hell breaks loose! in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.

I’m thinking whether I should take my DSLR and go take pictures of people queueing for the hype!
(Don’t worry I will avoid the drunkards
)
Queen Street is going to be crowded? Maybe or maybe not :)
Definitely going to have a huge traffic jam and people jam.
By the way the price is pretty steep, and I knew it was going to be tied down to 2 years of contract, otherwise Vodafone wouldn’t bother to put such a big effort to release iPhone 3G here in New Zealand! *hehe*
A 16gb (white/black) model would costs approximately NZD$6000 for 2 years on the $250/mth plan with 1GB of data, with 600 national anytime minutes each month and up to 600 TXTs per month to any NZ mobile (within NZ).*
New Zealand is 1 of the 22 countries to unleash the iPhone 3G first!
Those countries include Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, UK and the US.**

Any iPhone 3G owners-to-be, mind to borrow me your newly bought iPhone 3G to write a comparison review ? (iPhone gen 1 versus iPhone 3G) Do drop me a message, thanks!
