Douce Saint-Valentin d’amour

Le coeur qui crie l’amour,
pour cette femme tout les jours,
celle qui a notre coeur,
et notre bonheur …

Une femme parfaite à nos yeux,
nos yeux tant amoureux,
on était à la recherche d’amour,
et enfin elle est là chaque jour …

Une saint-valentin dans ses bras,
où on glisse des mots tout bas,
pour dire son amour,
qui pour elle durera toujours …

Elle qui a notre coeur,
qui sèche nos pleurs,
et en cette belle saint-valentin,
cet amour ne fait qu’un …

Certains attendent des bébés,
et d’autres seulement à s’aimer,
certains vont se mariés,
et d’autres l’amour fêté ..

Happy Valentines Day! Chocolates for your sweets.

Victorian Park Bench - St Heliers Bay

Gone for a stroll on the beach at St Heliers Bay, so bright… so peaceful… but so gloomy because the sky was lightly drizzling rain

Keep Walking - St Heliers Bay

Let’s keep walking…

I finally made my way into Theobroma Chocolate Lounge today, never really had a chance or the time to sit down and binge on Chocolate :P

I was mostly looking forward to their signature dish, a chocolate fondue set with seasonal fruits – Chocolate Affair

A very good cup of hot chocolate!
This is Belgian Dark Chocolate – Hot Chocolate drink with mug warmer, keeps it warm till the last drop :D ~
It tastes great and rich, really nice though it does make me sleepy

Just how an Iced Coffee would taste like, it has real ice cream and yes!!! no whipped cream (yey)
It does look boring though, not much decoration, but tastes good, smooth and silky.

This is so fun to eat, though I must warm you that the waffles is so crispy that it tastes quite dry!
Need to drink up otherwise you will have trouble swallowing.
The chocolate gets harden if you don’t eat fast enough.

Clearer view of the strawberries, mmmmm!

Theobroma’s signature dish – Chocolate Affair Y U M M Y
The fruits are not very sweet (quite sour), but the chocolate is the best! Milk chocolate Mmmmmm !

Another shot of Theobroma’s signature dish – Chocolate Affair H E A V E N

Overall a very fun experience, pleasant atmosphere if not too packed.

Just after sunset… I live somewhere in here.

If you dine at Orbit (Revolving Restaurant) you can take the lift 1 level down to the main observatory free of charge.
Remember to dine at Orbit then go to the main observatory, then it would be much much more worth it :)

Seared Dukkah Crusted Tuna Loin

Seared Dukkah Crusted Tuna Loin
with Moroccan potato salad, rocket salad and preserved lime dressing

Raw Tuna in the middle, seared on the outside, tasted quite fishy.

Moroccan potato salad

The potato salad was nice though, there is some curry taste to it.

Roast Fillet of Pure Angus Beef

Roast Fillet of Pure Angus Beef
with kumara, garlic and thyme puree, buttered spinach, Parmesan and cream of wild mushrooms

I like mine medium well (sorry medium rare fans :P ), tastes juicy!
The mushroom sauce is exquisite, but too much mashed potatoes makes me full *_*

Baby potatoes sautéed in lemon herb butter

I ordered this as sides, indeed a very filling meal after all

Roast Hawke's Bay Lamb Loin

Roast Hawke’s Bay Lamb Loin
on potato mash, with a tomato, rosemary and kalamata olive compote and grilled spring onion

Tasted just like any red meat, not as yummy as expected.

Mochaccino

Mochaccino

Tastes quite bitter… was expecting a more chocolatey taste, as I never put sugar in my Mochaccino, because they should already be sweet enough. Blends well with any sweet dessert.

New Zealand ice cream with a berry compote and a crisp tuille

New Zealand ice cream with a berry compote and a crisp tuille
This really melts in your mouth! Delicious and just sweet enough, thick and creamy ice cream with chunky chocolate pieces.

Strawberry and Yoghurt Bavarois

Strawberry and Yoghurt Bavarois
vanilla yoghurt topped with strawberry
and lemongrass jelly served
with strawberry jam and almond crunch

Just like any cheesecake, a light tasting dessert, I did not taste any lemongrass flavour though

Orbit – Revolving Restaurant is high-class dining for Aucklanders, just in time for Valentine’s day.

Remember to book early, like few days beforehand especially for window seats. You get to dine and revolve around the tower, it does get dizzy at times, but the breath-taking views is a must for your first visit!

I would book my next visit to be in the evening as the sun’s brightness can get quite disruptive.

All I can say is… today was not a very good day for me, and I think it is to do with being Friday the 13th!
I am not very superstitious but work was flat out, there were so many issues and queries that we had to resolve, it was like ongoing for the whole day and that is 8hrs 30mins straight *_* faint (including breaks and lunch of course).

It has always been quite free for a Friday, but today is the busiest Friday of all the time I have been working at my company.
I am just glad the day is over :P

Now I am back home safe and sound *yey* watching WTV (i.e New Zealand version of Astro)

Work is so busy that I am barely out on weekends, I prefer staying at home and I still don’t have time to watch any anime.
After working full time, I now know how to appreciate doing nothing! HAHA

Knowing how to make time to do abit of everything is really important, though I end up very exhausted at the end of the day, it is still worth it.
