Seared Dukkah Crusted Tuna Loin
with Moroccan potato salad, rocket salad and preserved lime dressing
Raw Tuna in the middle, seared on the outside, tasted quite fishy.

Moroccan potato salad, rocket salad and preserved lime dressing
The potato salad was nice though, there is some curry taste to it.

Roast Fillet of Pure Angus Beef
with kumara, garlic and thyme puree, buttered spinach, Parmesan and cream of wild mushrooms
I like mine medium well (sorry medium rare fans
), tastes juicy!
The mushroom sauce is exquisite, but too much mashed potatoes makes me full *_*

Baby potatoes sautéed in lemon herb butter
I ordered this as sides, indeed a very filling meal after all

Roast Hawke’s Bay Lamb Loin
on potato mash, with a tomato, rosemary and kalamata olive compote and grilled spring onion
Tasted just like any red meat, not as yummy as expected.

Mochaccino
Tastes quite bitter… was expecting a more chocolatey taste, as I never put sugar in my Mochaccino, because they should already be sweet enough. Blends well with any sweet dessert.

New Zealand ice cream with a berry compote and a crisp tuille
This really melts in your mouth! Delicious and just sweet enough, thick and creamy ice cream with chunky chocolate pieces.

Strawberry and Yoghurt Bavarois
vanilla yoghurt topped with strawberry
and lemongrass jelly served
with strawberry jam and almond crunch
Just like any cheesecake, a light tasting dessert, I did not taste any lemongrass flavour though

Orbit menu
Orbit – Revolving Restaurant is high-class dining for Aucklanders, just in time for Valentine’s day.
Remember to book early, like few days beforehand especially for window seats. You get to dine and revolve around the tower, it does get dizzy at times, but the breath-taking views is a must for your first visit!
I would book my next visit to be in the evening as the sun’s brightness can get quite disruptive.
